Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 67456
Printing a html file from the command line doesn't work anymore
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:13 UTC
Currently we still use OOo 1.1.5 (german language) under SuSE Linux. We use the command line paramter "-p" to print files with OOo to the standard printer. Most of this files are in html format, as we use these as templates for automatic replacing of text portitions within an handmade erp program. "OpenOffice.org/program/soffice -p myfile.html" does the job perfect. Now we tried to use OOo 2.0.3. But OOo 2.0.3 refuses to print html files on the command line. Issuing an "openoffice.org2/program/soffice -p myfile.html" does NOTHING! Specifying an native OOo-file prints out the file. But html-files are not printed any more.
Not a P1 issue, because you are able to print when OOo is running. HI->PL: Strange, I can print odt-, but not html-files at the background.
> Not a P1 issue, because you are able to print when OOo is running. May be i was not correct enough: i have to start OOo in interactive mode and than use keyboard or mouse to print the html file. It doesn't matter if OOo runs interactive or not. Printing from the command line doesn't, regardless of OOo is currently running or not. And this breaks the whole application using OOo. HI->PL: Strange, I can print odt-, but not html-files at the background. I can confirm. Printing an odt, ods, sxw, sxc, doc, xls is possible with the command line option. html not.
pl->cd: please have a look
cd->os: Can you please take over. The desktop code just uses loadComponentFromURL for all document types. I don't know why html doesn't work, may be some asynchronous loading?
This bug still exists in 2.0.4
