Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66771
line numbering initially not displayed when spacing when spacing to text is 0
Last modified: 2023-01-24 18:13:05 UTC
When re-opening my converted ms-word doc, line numbering was not displayed, even though I displayed it and saved it. With a *new* oo-document, I found that the line numbering stayed when I reopened. I eventually found that the spacing of the numbers from the frame must be greater than zero. At zero spacing (numbers are right up against the side of the frame) the numbers disappear when you reopen. If you put it at 0.1 cm. or greater, no problem. Apparently, mine was set at zero when reformatting from Word. The default spacing when you select numbering for a new document is 0.2 cm.
please attach the specific document. would be much easier to reproduce the error with this document in hands

Closed, recieved no response.
Reopened issue.
MRU->FME: when the spacing of the line numbering is set to 0cm, the line numbering will not be shown right after re-opening the document. Opening the Line Numbering dialog and clicking OK will workaround this problem.

Hi, Problem occur if the Spacing parameter (Tools → Line numbering) is set to zero. Operates if space is 0,10 (at least). See here : https://forum.openoffice.org/fr/forum/viewtopic.php?p=368330#p368330
the problem occurs if "spacing parameter" value is put to zero. expected with Windows 11 OS.
