Description gonzalez 2006-06-22 09:14:32 UTC
In OOo 2.0.3rc6, when you create two new page styles, you cannot use one of them
as next style. In OOo 2.0.2 you do not have this problem.

I created (OOo2.0.3rc6) two new page styles: "first page" and "second page". I
chose in each case the same style being created as Next style in the tab
Organizer, and gave OK and saved the file.
Then, I edited the first page style by changing (in the tab Organizer) the
entry Next style of the "first page" so that it be followed by "second page",
gave OK, and, when trying to save, OOo halted completely. Of course, I got the
message to recover the file, but to no avail: you cannot create use the new
styles because you cannot give them the sequence you want for them.
I had to create the same page styles in version 2.0.2 (that worked OK) and them
import the template into 2.0.3rc6 to be able to use the styles.

Exactly the same defect in OOo 2.0.6.rc7
Comment 2 gonzalez 2006-06-30 01:15:46 UTC
The problem has not been resolved by the just newly delivered OOo 2.0.3.
It has the same defect as 2.0.3.rc6 and 2.0.3rc7

hello,
OOo 2.0.3rc7:
Could not verify the bug under RC7.
Create two new page styles, edit style one and set the following style to the
second.
Set the first new style as default page stale of a new document, add a new page,
store the new file.
No problems at all.

Regards Marko

Comment 5 gonzalez 2006-06-30 16:05:01 UTC
I am attaching a template (Template.ott, which I had created earlier in 2.0.2),
where I have created (added) two page styles (in the newly released 2.0.3):
- Proof_PageStyle_LeftPage
- Proof_PageStyle_RightPage
These two styles were created on the basis of two old styles (created in 2.0.2),
as you can see.
Now,
- I edit the first style so the next style is the second
- I edit the second, so that the next style is the first again.
Everything is OK with editing.
But, if I try to use these edited styles or save them, the program halts
completely (in 2.0.3rc6, 2.0.3rc7 and in 2.0.3)

OOo crashes when you save the template after editing the page styles. I use
OOO2.0.3.rc7de on WinXP. The ID of the error report is r7mhq6.

Same problem in OOo Dev.2.0 src680_m176

MRU->HBRINKM: open the attached template, change the "next style" properties of
the page styles
- Proof_PageStyle_LeftPage
- Proof_PageStyle_RightPage
so that the follow each other. Save the document -> crash (report id is rfbmb6).#
Worked fine in OOo 2.0.2.

Now, Developper OOo 2.0.m178 is working fine.
I do not know if this is the right place to say this to the developpers, but
anyway: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

So does it mean we can close this issues?
Comment 11 gonzalez 2006-08-02 10:44:01 UTC
Personally, I have not seen any related problem further; OOo 2.0.m178 simply
works for me as if the defect had never existed.
