Refering issue 2042 I have exctly the same trouble with a document that I create with OpenOffice.org1.0 Writer It is about 26 pages, with styles, frames, and various formatting techniques. It contains no images. Problem: The file will not re-open. I get a "Read-Error. Unable to open document" and crash of W98 To re-open my file, I use Win zip and change style.xml by a new one. I close Winzip I can open my document in OpenOffice.org 1.0 without any trouble. I works 2 hours on the document and the trouble re-appears If you need i can send you the document.
