Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66259
Latest builds crash when opening file saved with previous builds
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:31 UTC
Builds 680m171 and 680m172 crash when opening some of my files that were saved with previous builds.
Created attachment 37015 [details] Sample file that crashes OOo
Reassigned to ES.
Works here in m5: http://tmp.janik.cz/OpenOffice.org/Screenshot.png Do you use KDE, BTW? Can you do the following, please? cd ..../program gdb soffice.bin run ... now open the document and make it crash ... where and paste the result here?
Does m172 crash for you even without opening any document? (See #i66264# I just filed).
Results from gdb: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Switching to Thread -1234716992 (LWP 5807)] 0xae230b21 in non-virtual thunk to SwFmtPageDesc::Modify(SfxPoolItem*, SfxPoolIt em*) () from /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/libsw680li.so This is on a fresh install of Kubuntu, so yes to KDE. I haven't tried a great variety of files, but I can open at least some of them, but not the ones like the sample. I suspect the shapes graphics are the culprit, but haven't had time to experiment.
ES->AMA: as described.
Good news: known and already fixed by OD ;-) *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 66051 ***
