The issue is when I have a 64bit JVM and a 32-bit JRE with the 32bit OpenOffice
installed and I try to choose a different JVM in the options dialog, open office
will take 1 to several minutes "detecting" the JVMs installed on the system. 
then it will eventually show the GCJ and 32bit JRE that I have installed (so I
can choose the 32bit JRE over GCJ).

However when it "testing" the 64bit JVM it is continu.ally spawnging instances of 

/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.07/jre/bin/java \
   -classpath/usr/lib/openoffice.org2.0/program JREProperties 

not once, but it seems on the order of several dozen times. (as the process IDs
will continually change as new ones get launched).

Wouldn't OOo figure the JVM is 64 bit and move on to the next detected JVM?
This also can occur a slowdown on startup if I upgraded the 32bit JVM, so the
old directory no longer exists. (ie 1.5.0_05 to 1.5.0_06). Which I then have to
go in and choose the 32 bit Sun JVM again in the preference as it selected the
GCJ jvm. (which is SLOW for SQL Db access via JDBC)

This is on an x86_64 FC 5 system with GCJ 4.1, Sun JDK 1.5.0_07 and Sun JRE
1.5.0_06 installed.
