Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 65783
Problem changing P.KEY when other index exists
Last modified: 2006-07-12 15:56:18 UTC
1) Make a table from wizard using predefined contact(business) and address (personal)fields 1.5) delete all the fields with 2 in the end (can be skipped, i guess.) 2) Make a new unique index using fields birthdate, firstname and lastname 3) remove the primary key (ID) field 4) mark the fields birthdate, firstname and lastname and right-click->primary key
change owner
clu->gardsted: may you describe how you make step 2.3.4. more precisely thx
Thanks for the great work, I try to be brief and precise from the top. I Install OOo_2.0.169_Win32Intel_install.exe Choose All features and all subfeatures to be installed Chose not to default the ms-format documents Start OOo-dev-Base Create a new database I choose not to register the database Finish and default the location under the name of New Database4 I Click the Tables Icon And use wizard to create table Select fields for your table dialog comes forward, and shortly thereafter an OOo-dev document recovery, naming my new database. Recovering, sending error (grep auto-submitted errors for issue number) will continue in a second
"issue 65783 - just did it again - and realize, i forgot something on the case" I just put the above into an auto thingy again.(both subject+body) I realize I get to do something more before document recovery kicks in. Business radio is on, and I choose wizard 'Contacts'. When I release button on control, I get the error. Will Try again, just a sec. This time it takes longer. Modal dialog frezes, but can still be moved around. Nothing for a minute - killing it shortly after submitting this. kind regards JJ.
Nothing to kill...My error - it kept on going. I use business->contacts, and add all fields. Then choose personal->addresses and add all fields Choose finish close an reopen app. close an reopen app. Now I get a File input / output error better close an reopen app. succeed after making New Database6 Made the table , it's called Contacts Right click edit on the table. Create new Unique Index on Address, Birthdate and ChildrenNames. Remove the ID (unique key field) Now I mark the same fields (rows) as before and right click Primary Key Now comes a warning: The column "Address" could not be changed. Should the column instead be deleted.... While true do ; Choose Yes "Error": Theres an index..., pretty natural. Choose OK Now I will remove the Index then Before You can edit...-It wants to save... Choose Yes Warning: The column "Address" could not be changed. Should the column instead done
rqxmvf and rbrmvf were the names of the error reports generated by the OOo-dev error report tool
clu->gardsted: may you add a step by step description for the things that a foreign person has to do to reproduce your problem on his system (no private storys) - the main thing in it is that it has to be reproducable (not only for you) and you explain every single step to get to the problem - if every time anything else happens, it is the opposite of reproducibility and it rather seems that your office is in any way corrupted (in this case please make a new installation and try again) please also read: http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html and http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/bug_writing_guidelines.html thx
