Description pjohnson 2002-07-25 22:33:50 UTC
I inserted a Date Field Control using the Form Function toolbar. Then, in the
Control Properties dialog box, under the General tab, in the Date Format field,
I chose the Standard (long) format.

The result is Thursday,July 25,2002.

There are two problems with this:
1. There should be spaces after both commas (i.e., Thursday, July 25, 2002).

2. This format should be using the long date format defined in my Regional
Settings Control Panel (which currently is July 25, 2002).

ALTERNATIVELY it would be very nice if user-defined formats were allowed
for Date Field Controls. If this were the case, the problem in item #2 above
would be solved by entering a user-defined format of MMMM D, YYYY. (Should I
submit a separate Enhancement request for this?)

I recognize that user-defined formatting is available using a Formatted
Field Control; however, that Control doesn't have the nifty Dropdown feature
that allows the user to pick a date from the little calendar.

Hi,

The first part is fixed in the current version.

For the second please file a enhancement issue.

Bye Marc
