Forms: read/write access to imported data

Forms created from linked data, such as a spreadsheet, are read-only in Base. Would like a way to enter new data in forms to these linked sources. Going one step further, and a better solution, would be a true data import function in Base where a new database, independant of the source file, can be created with imported data from a spreadsheet or a tab-delimited text file.

You can copy the table from the Base file to a new file based on the internal HSQL. If you add a primary key you can enter new datas. Set it to feature
thx mechtilde reopen issue to send as feature enhancement to the requirements team
the 'read only state' constraint of some data sources is annoying (specially if it is a native calc spreadsheet) - even if you can 'workaround' this like mechtilde has written, this should not be the final solution, so hopefully this will be improved, but the decision belongs to the requirements team thx
