Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 64745
Parsing/Presentation of ":=" looks wrong
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:54:45 UTC
When I write some definition, e.g. "f(x) := x^2", then the presentation of ":=" looks rather bad: The ":" is slanted like a "/". This is not the way, how it should be written in mathematical work. Maybe the parser of the formular editor does not recognize ":=" as a compound symbol.
As a workaround, put the colon into quotes like f(x) ":"= x^2. The colon won't be interpreted as text now. MRU->TL: wouldn't it be possible to interpret := as a mathematical expression and not as two seperate characters?
