Description emmanuel_t 2006-04-03 17:00:39 UTC
When opening in OO writer 2.0.2 the MS-word file in attachment, the image in the
document is missing. MS-Word 2002 successfully displays the picture in the document.

I'll attach the file now.

Comment 2 lars 2006-04-03 18:43:15 UTC
Microsoft Word Viewer 2003 doesn't show a picture either but it displays 2
pages, Writer only 1.
Comment 3 emmanuel_t 2006-04-04 07:36:06 UTC
yes there are two pages in MS-WORD 2002 also. the reason is the big image on the
first page that openoffice doesn't display.

otherwise there *is* a picture in the word document, i understand that word
viewer 2003 also has a bug displaying it, but i think that openoffice should
display it.
nobody tests on word viewer, if people see the image missing they'll just
conclude on an openoffice bug (and it's true, since that file is non-corrupted
and msword 2002 opens it fine with the picture).

according to the person who created this document, he just asked word to insert
a picture in the application, nothing special like embedded OLE components or
anything... just a simple picture.

MRU->FLR: there's a large graphic on first page which shares over almost the
whole page. It will completely be ignored by the import.
Comment 5 emmanuel_t 2006-06-30 08:55:10 UTC
The bug is still present with OOo 2.0.3.

Previous message was meant to be attachment to another issue.
Bypass that.
Sorry for this confusion.
