Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 62983
RTF: graphic in table exported with wrong size attributes
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:22:38 UTC
Consider anchoring of frames to column (table cell). Without it, its impossible to reach some effects (e.g. image in front of table). Attached is Word 2003 created document with column anchoring of image (it is default anchoring in Word 2003 in tables). Implement RTF import/export of those (new rtffly?)

I can't confirm this issue. As far as I know, all anchor objects in Microsoft Word are anchored at a character or are treated as a character - column anchor doesn't exist in Microsoft Word. But in Microsoft Word the horizontal position of an anchored object can be relative 'to column' - default horizontal position, even if the is no table. This horizontal position is mapped to OOo horizontal position relative to 'paragraph area'. This works fine - the Microsoft Word document open fine in OOo 2.0.1 OD->MRU: please confirm and close this issue.
Yes, this type of posittioning has been implemented into OO 2.0.x.
Closed.
I desribed the problem really bad. And really OOo 2.0.2 opens attached doc. But not the RTF (becouse of shapes). Real problem is when I create document with "column" anchoring and save it into RTF it coudnt be opened again (neither OOo nor Word). Try this: - create new Writer document - insert 3x3 table - insert image (any) into any cell in first row - change "Text flow" to background (sorry - I have cs langpack installed) - Save as .odt - Save as .rtf - close OOo - open .odt - close OOo - open .rtf

MRU->FLR: export the attached .odt document to RTF and reopen -> the graphic has a wrong width (too large). Opening the exported RTF in Ms Word shows good in document, but when having a look into the attributes dialog, you see wrong size values.
