Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 62456
Calc statusbar does not stay hidden
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:18 UTC
When I de-select View > Status Bar, I expect not to see the Status Bar again until I select View > Status Bar. I have no use for the Status Bar. It merely covers cells that I want to see. The Bar returns when the file is saved, when activation changes and sometimes when the file is modified. I tried assigning a macro to all those events to hide the bar again with varying results. The (de)activation event resulted in the programme crashing. I apologise if this has already been filed as an issue. My advanced search revealed nothing. A simple search produced tens of thousands of issues on other matters.
confirmed with 680_m156 on WinXP Pro SP2: after pressing return after entering something in a cell, the deactivated status bar shows up again
Hi Niklas, please have a look at this one. Frank
The visibility of the status bar is triggered by calculation when it's aggregation-function (right end of the bar) is set to some function rather than "None". Setting it to "None" however does not prevent the visibility triggered by frame-activation.
Changing target to 2.x
change target from 2.x to 3.x according to http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Target_3x
This is a long-standing problem in Calc. Not only does the status bar NOT stay hidden, it may be hidden on one sheet and not in others in a Calc spreadsheet document.
