When importing MS Word documents a lot of the document properties are ignored
meaning that fields in the document just become text. This is a problem when you
later want to view the document back in MS Word.

This is not helped by the fact that the User Defined fields area only allows for
4 fields when MS Word has space for as many as required.

In summary the File | Properties | User Defined tab needs a radical make-over as
it is fairly ineffective at present and is one of the factors preventing proper
MS Word/OO interchange.

what type of fields do you mean? the File->Properties fields or the Insert-
>Field fields? Can you look whether for the fields you mean issues are already 
filed? thanks
