This works fine on my (VMWare) Mandrake 8.2 (stand alone) and my Windows 2000 
Server (network workstation).

On Windows XP (Home Edition) I am running the network workstation (same 
network installation as the Windows 2000).  On all users OpenOffice falls 
over "An unrecoverable error has occured" when I try Insert > Horizontal 
Line...

No work is lost and I can carry on as normal after a restart.

I have tried fixing the installation, but it makes no difference.
I have also tried resinstalling, but this too makes no difference.

I have Java 1.4.0
I have installed the UK English dictionary

But so does the Windows 2000 one that works.

Are you running OO 1.0 via a network install or a local install?


Unable to duplicate issue on Win NT 4.0, OO 1.0.

Works for me in 1.1beta1 on linux and win xp home,
and 1.0.3 on linux.  Please try this on openoffice 1.1 beta,
and file a new issue if it's still happening.

This task is fixed or worked in OOo 1.1 beta2.
