I am working with documents in excess of 9Mb and I have noticed what would take 
Word 10s to load, takes Writer about 5 minutes to load.  Once it is loaded the 
interface is not very responsive and klunky.  It is also not uncommon for the 
program to crash.  Unfortunately for proprietary reasons I cannot send you the 
document, however you should be able to generate one that will duplicate the 
problem.  The document has a lot of embeded images.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
