Description filipg 2006-01-02 17:25:43 UTC
Insert a wingding, make it size 18, then paste something over that which is size
12 -> rest of original line is missing/jumbled. Included example demonstrates
this. This is for 2.0.1 RC 5 (680m1 build 8990)

MRU->FME: Select the text in brackets of paragraph numbered 2. Copy to
clipboard, then select text in brackets of paragraph 3 and paste clipboard
content -> see the paint error left of brackets
Can be corrected by manual refresh with CTRL-Shift-R.

Bug successfully replicated on a P4 machine running Windows XP build 2600 with
SP2 using OOo 2.0.1.

I was able to replicate the bug without using the above attachment.

Generic replication steps:

1. Open OOo Writer
2. Create a new text document (I used Times New Roman font at size 12)
3. Type a few word on the first line (ex. The cat in the hat)
4. Highlight and copy any word from the first line.
5. Highlight a single character in the line, example 'h' in hat, and increase

the font size of that character to something larger than the current font
size, like 18 (it works for any larger font size, but the larger you go, the
more the characters will appear jumbled).
7. Highlight the character that you increased in size and the character that
follows it. In my example, you would highlight 'ha' in hat.
8. Replace the highlighed characters by pasting the word you copied from line 1.

Sorry, I accidentally hit the submit button. What I was saying was:

You should see the text become jumbled or even disappear if you used a large
enough font size. You will get the same result when using different font types.

I can confirm this issue with OOo-3.2 on Kubuntu-10.04.
