Description Unknown 2002-06-18 16:26:20 UTC
During personal data registration:
Program asks to complete the form with personal data, where

ФИО/Инициалы
(SurnameFirstnameMiddlename/Initials) - Opposite to Enlish format
(Firstname-Middlename-Surname)
I filled the form according to request, but this is incorrect.
Really the program uses Surname and Middle name as initials.

Hi Olli,
can we handle this problem?
Comment 2 stx123 2002-11-29 20:35:55 UTC
reassigning to dirk - I don't think Oliver will work on these issues any more.
Comment 3 dirk.voelzke 2003-01-07 15:43:25 UTC
I'll look at this one.
Comment 4 dirk.voelzke 2003-01-22 09:34:00 UTC
dv->em: It looks like there is a different description / order for the
three fields <name><middlename><surname> for german and russia. I need
to know what is wrong: the description or the ordering of the fields.

Elizabeth (EM) wrote: I checked the User Data under Tools - Options
and see that it is first name, last name, initials (no middle name).
Still investigating...
Comment 6 elizabeth.matthis 2003-02-17 09:56:17 UTC
EM: It appears that the russian translation of the text box labels is
incorrect. Due to timeline constraints, this cannot be done for Beta1.
If at all before 6.y, then Beta2.
Comment 7 elizabeth.matthis 2003-02-17 10:31:46 UTC
EM->DV: I checked the Russian version under Tools - Options - User
Data and it is structured as follows.

First name / Father's name / Last name / Initials
The Initials are created from the first letters of the first and last
names (not the father's name).

The setup User data dialog should work the same as this. (no "middle"
name)

You will find the resource in setup2/source/ui/pages/paddr.src as
FixedText with the ID FT_NAME_RUSS

Moved this issue to my proper acct.
Comment 12 e.matthis 2003-03-31 18:08:22 UTC
Elizabeth->DV: The string was indeed translated incorrectly into
Russian. Since this string is for the _Russian_ user data page, there
has been no English resource up till now (only German). Due to the
source language change to English, we must have all strings in English.

Please enter the following English_us string and send this issue to DD
so that he can have the Russian corrected.

ENGLISH_us
First name/Father's name/Last name/Initials

(Present incomplete text: &#1060;&#1048;&#1054;/&#1048;&#1085;&#1080;&#1094;&#1080;&#1072;&#1083;&#1099; LT KeyId 158831)

I hope that will fix the original issue of "incorrect" initials.
Comment 13 dirk.voelzke 2003-04-01 12:39:33 UTC
Changed english text, russian text will follow automaticly later.
Comment 14 dirk.voelzke 2003-10-21 10:54:47 UTC
