Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59141
Error caused referring to previous version
Last modified: 2005-12-19 17:52:28 UTC
When saving s/sheet 2 errors occur as follows 1. Error loading BASIC of document file ///C:/Program %20Files/Open Office.org1.1.4/share/basic/WebWizard/script.xlb General error General Input/Output error and 2. as above except dialog.xlb carries on with save but totally repeatable
can you attach the document in question and give a step-by-step description?
On loading this spreadsheet it asks for confirmation to enable macros, which is given I then change one cell and save the spreadsheet, and at this point the two errors occur. It then carries on to save successfully When the action is repeated the errors do not occur. However if the program is closed then reopened the errors occur again
Created attachment 32254 [details] spreadsheet that has the error
cannot reproduce with OOo 2.0.1 RC2 on Windows XP Pro SP2: I modify any cell and save the file: no problems
I am using OOo 2.0 and the problem is always there on first save after modification, but does not re-occur on a subsequent save. The only modification was deleting a blank cell. When I delete a cell with contents on first entry the problem also occurs History of prior installations as I recall was OO 1.1.4 then 1.1.1925 then 2.0. I believe that I uninstalled both 1.1.4 and 1.1.1925 after I installed 2.0 Hope that helps Thanks anyway
if you uninstalled 1.1.4 after 2.0.0, try a "repair" of 2.0.0 (modify installation from Windows Add/Remove programs control panel)
Sorry about the delay but Ive been away I have carried out repair as you indicated but error still occurs
can you try with OOo 2.0.1 RC5 http://download.openoffice.org/680/ ? and before installation uninstall OOo 2.0.0 and remove C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2 (look through the folder before to see if you have any personal files stored there) and install OOo 2.0.1 RC5 in a different directory than OOo 1.x
Problem now disappeared Thank you foryour help Regards Martin Tobias
