I cannot confirm. I download the document, save to c:, doubleklick in explorer -> document opens. as im testin on WinXP, I'll not set to worksforme at the moment. zhipengzhang: we would need some more info. - Did you encounter any troubles during installation, - what version (localized?) did you install - any special about your windows environment - is only this file affected or all OpenDocumente file types - does a reinstallation of OOo fix the problem
i run ooo 2.0 rc4(m145) on win2000 you can open the document and copy all content saveas the new file name doubleklick, can't open
and i rename the file to dos-file-format(8.3),can open it after doubleklick
the same file "hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hh.odt" when double click the file ico in browse, can't open but when new a swriter, "file-open" menu, it can open why??
zhipengzhang: Did you checked the md5sum before install ? Did you try to repair/modify your OOo installation ? I know that when you repair/modify the installation, I can choose the extensions association again. Maybe your problem is just that. Closing as works for me with OOo2.0.2rc3 WinXP SP2. zhipengzhang, feel free to reopen it if necessary. Hwoarang
closing.

you can open example.odt ctrl+A to select all content and copy the content save as it by the file name (all content to the file name) now you can not open it by double click the file ico but you can open it by openfile dialog of the swriter
seems to be a file association problem. all works with me with Win98SE/WinXP and OOo2.1rc1. Hwoarang
Works fine here with OO2.2 on WinXP. Resolving as WFM.
and closing.
