Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 58986
XForms: xml bindings doesn't appear until doc reopen
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:31:01 UTC
If you create an element in the instance (or you already have one and editing it), and you set some setting in the "Edit Element" dialog (like datatype, required, etc), a binding is created to store that settings. But this binding is not shown on the Bindings tab until you close and reopen the document. I've tested on Windows, 2.0 and 2.0.1rc2
Reassigned to ES.
Please give a step by step description of what you do get and expect. Which OOo module is concern? Which Function?
In the XML Form designer, the content of the bindings tab doesn't updated sometimes. In the following two examle you create two element under InstanceData. Please follow the instructions exactly. (I've tested on 2.0.1) Test case 1: File – New – XML Form doc Click on „instanceData†(the root element) Click on the Add item icon (The first icon.) Let the the Element Name: „aâ€; Click the reuired checkbox; click OK. Click the „Bindings†tab. ; Click back to „Instance 1†tab. (Important!) Click on „instanceData†(the root element) Click on the Add item icon (The first icon.) Let the Element Name: „b†; Click the reuired checkbox;click OK. Click the Bindings tab, check the result: Only „Binding 1: a†is shown. Test case 2: File – New – XML Form doc Click on „instanceData†(the root element) Click the „Bindings†tab. ; Click back to „Instance 1†tab. (Important!) Click on the Add item icon (The first icon.) Let the the Element Name: „aâ€; Click the reuired checkbox; click OK. Click on „instanceData†(the root element) Click on the Add item icon (The first icon.) Let the Element Name: „b†; Click the reuired checkbox;click OK. Click the Bindings tab, check the result: No bindings are shown. It seems after you have clicked to the „Bindings†tab, and clicked back to „Instance 1â€, the binding's list is not updated.
mispelling: reuired -> required What I expect the end of the test cases is that on the "Bindings" tab you have to see the two bindings (because the required checkbox) have created. But on test 1 only one is created, and in test 2 there are no bindings shown.
ES->LO: PLease, have a look.
