Galery does not support current Draw extension (ODG)

It is not possible to add odg-formatted gfraphics.
odg is the default file extension for Draw.

I am converting a lot of svg files to odg files an i love the galery, so it is 
a problem to manage my odg files.

There are a lot of places where you can add or insert pictures.
Writer,
Impress etc.

The only way to add a odf file is to open Draw, select, copy,
go to other application and Paste.

This is absolut unacceptable.

I see that Issuetype has changed to Enhancement and target milestone to not 
determined.

We as the OOo community will have lots of graphics to use in our documents.
Openclipart.org has more than 9600 graphics available.

With the external svg converter from http://www.ipd.uka.de/~hauma/svg-import/
it is possible to open, modify and save a lot of graphics into our ODF format.

The results can not used within our Gallery?

This is IMO not an enhancement, it is a major challenge to fix ASAP.

If it is fixed, we no longer a trendfollower but a trendsetter.

So, is it possible to set this at high priority??

I see the point that you like to have this ASAP, nevertheless it is still an
enhancement to current functionality. So, to make it short, it is not High
priority for me. Maybe someone from the community likes to write a little tool
that reads all your documents via API and uses the Gallery API, that has been
created and announced a few months ago, to add the content of the document to
the appropriate themes.

Any news for this issue? We can't even vote for it. Maybe a target milestone
could be set (even if it is OOo-later).
