Pressing and then releasing the left Ctrl key causes the cursor to jump to the 
beginning of the current word, and vertically centers the cursor position 
within the window (scrolls the text being edited). This behavior is (as far as 
I can tell) not documented, and it's highly unconventional and non-intuitive. 
Furthermore in interferes with keyboard tools like AllChars 
(http://allchars.zwolnet.com/).

Can't repro on OOo 2.0.2.

It still happens for me in OOo 2.0.2 (English-language Windows XP Professional, 
standard keyboard settings), though only with the right-hand Ctrl key (with 
2.0.1 both Ctrl keys had that effect).

can't reproduce with OO 2.0.4 RC1. 
Do you, by chance, have 3rd party software, that does that? Do you see the 
same effect in other text editors or word processors on the same machine? Do 
you experience this on other computers?
