I don't like the behavior at all, that, selecting text in a tabulars cell,
suddenly there is selected the whole cell, while I want to select just a part of
(or the whole) text inside...

Enn ich innerhalb einer Tabellenzelle Text markiere, springt oft die Markierung
vom Text auf die ganze Zelle über, was ich total doof finde.
Z.B., wenn ich mit shift+Pfeiltaste markiere und am Textanfang nach links fahre
und dann wieder nach rechts (um etwa den ersten Buchstaben/ das erste Wort nicht
zu markieren), ist zwischendurch die Markierung auf die Zelle übergesprungen und
wenn ich nach rechts gehe, wird die benachbarte Zelle auch noch markiert...

I don't have problems selecting exactly the text part I want; can you describe 
a little more detailed of what you're doing that doesn't work as wished

I select text in a cell. Pressing shift and left-arrow I go to the first word.
(similar behaviour for mous-actions.) Now the selection jumpes from the text to
the whole cell. Then I want to unselect the first letter/word and press
right-arrow. But this makes the neighbor-cell selected too instead of
unselecting the first letter/word in the previous cell...

for me this only happens if I'm using Shift+right arrow key after the last 
character in the last word: the whole cell gets selected; if I'm not pressing 
Shift anymore, the cell gets deselected when I'm pressing an arrow key. I 
think this works as intended. I can't reproduce your problem where the whole 
cell gets selected after Shift+left arrow key before the first character of 
the first word.

This is a known limitation of the current table model. See issue 45348.

issue 60612 is really a duplicate of this one (58477), but maybe not of issue
45348, if issue 45890 really is a duplicate of 45348...
