Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 58347
DXF import : wrong scaling after import
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:00:21 UTC
In the draw component, Import of DXF files is generally incorrect. I tried this since version 1.1.3 and the problem have not been solved even in 2.0 final. Problems allways are in size. i used 3 different DXF file variants. All tree of them can be imported in Coreldraw 10.0 without problems and without size errors, so i assume that those dxf files not have any errors. There is a free HPG to DXF converter on the web named HPGL2DXF. Dxf files which are converted from hpgl by this tool import perfect in coreldraw but in OOo-draw are imported way to small. I can provide sample dxf-files if needed. best regards, G. Morbe
Reproducible. Reassinged.
Summary adapted.
It would be nice if Draw was more DXF friendly i.e. Save, import, export and use DXF in gallery - or am I missing something already in Draw?
I find an interesting (IMHO) thing: OpenOffice (at least 3.0.0) sets scaling that based on last file view in AutoCAD window if imports dxf from AutoCAD. I will attach 2 files. All differences between this files will be just zoom before saving in AutoCAD. Not page settings, not draw limits and any settings. Just zoom.
Created attachment 60713 [details] Simple file. It is big when opening in AutoCAD
Created attachment 60714 [details] Same picture as in zoom1.dxf. It is small when open in AutoCAD 2007.
