Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5776
Stylist jumps back to paragraph styles
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
If I change e.g. a frame style the Stylist jumps back to the paragraph styles and selects 'Standard'
second that problem... spending way too much time trying to get style changes to stick... use of wysiwyg for modifying styles is NOT functional all changes to styles in wysiwyg do not stick to style nor does OOo ask if I'd like to reapply the style based on the changes that I've made. frustration level 7 on a scale of 1-10 ten being highest thank you Dennis
Please describe step by step what you do, where you click, if the Stylist is docked, which view the Stylist has at this time etc... I didn't get what you mean in your second comment...???
Very simple: 1. Open a new OO-Writer-Document 2. Open the stylist (Mode: paragraph styles/Default) 3. List the frame styles 4. Edit a frame style (change a value) and commit the sytle dialog 5. The stylist switchs back from the list of the frame styles to the paragraph styles. That's it. BTW: After this, the cursor in the document is invisible. It became visible if I click into the document Additionaly: While playing around (I have forgotten how the bug occurs :-)), I use the intensiv the 'Gießkannenfunktion' (what ever the english word is ..) with frame styles (new Document, two GIFs). I rapitly change and assign different styles to the pictures while the function stays enabled. OO dies after ~30 assignments
Hi, I think 'tb' provided the info you need. reassigning to Eric...
The swap to Paragraph Styles does not occure anymore at least since OOo 1.1.0. Please use a newer version. The cursor does not appear in the document after the change in the dialog because the focus is still in the Stylist. Concerning the crah on assigning frame styles, try to reproduce it (in a current build!) and file a new issue with a step by step description and a sample document. Note: please 1 problem per issue. we cannot handle issues containing multiple problems.
