Description marknewlyn 2005-11-04 18:26:43 UTC
Hi

I installed 2.0.0-3 from scratch to retest this on Ubuntu Linux 5.10 on a PC (PIV).

If I create a completely blank presentation and then do
Insert -> File
Select the attached .ppt file and select all slides and insert them
Saving gives:

"
Error saving the document fred.odp:
Write Error.
The could not be written.
"

If I <ctrl>-<z> to get rid of inserted slides and make a slide or two myself
from scratch and save it works fine.

It seems to also happen (sporadically) when I open both presentations in slide
sorter mode and copy slides across. Trying to save as another format leads to a
crash.

The attached file leads to a slightly different but still fatal problem. The
other one was very big so I didn't attach it.

I can confirm a crash saving to .odp after inserting the given .ppt attachment.
The recovery process brings up the presentation wizard. The crash report tool
does not come up.

System: Fedora Core 4 (x86), OpenOffice.org 2.0.0 from official OOo RPMs

Reassigned.
Comment 5 christian.guenther 2005-12-13 18:13:30 UTC
I can't reproduce it on my SUSE Linux.
I'll test it soon on a Fedora core Linux.

I tested the issue with the latest shnapshot build (src680_m175) on a fedora
core 5 and can't reproduce the bug.
Please have a look if you can still reproduce the bug with the latest shnapshot
version.
