On windows, there is a helper app that runs on startup that preloads openoffice making it launch much faster.  A similar helper program in linux 
would be a much appreciated feature, because right now openoffice startup times on linux are unbearable.

Gnome QuickStarter http://ooqstart.sourceforge.net/ ? There are others.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
