Description nparlante 2005-10-28 07:23:09 UTC
The attached HeadingOOOBug.doc file uses styles, and in particular the outlining
Heading 1, Heading 2, ... styles. I've used these styles for years across
multiple versions of Word.

Reading the .doc in, Heading 3, which should have an indent of 0.38 inch, comes
in defined with an indent of -0.38 inch. I'm running OOo 2.0 on Mac OS through X11.

MRU->OD: the Heading 3 level should have a bullet character here, but notlike
Heading 2, Heading 3 paragraphs have as hard attribute in WW,not as outline level.

According to the discussion with MRU, we decided to adjust the target to 'OOo 3.0'

OD->FLR: Please take over.
The mapping of the indents for the paragraph style and the numbering doesn't
work correctly for the WW8 paragraph styles "Heading 2" and "Heading 3". In WW8
the paragraph style "Heading 3" is assigned to *two* numbering levels. This also
seems to trouble our WW8 import.

I've built these doc styles up through several versions of Word, so I can
believe that the styles or my template document have picked up some internal
logical flaw at some point. Not giving this a high priority seems reasonable --
the conditions which lead to this document are probably rare.
