Add Seperator button below Modify button in Customize Toolbar dialogue

While customizing the toolbars for OOo 2.0 last night and recreating the original Main toolbar, I noticed that the option to insert a line break to separate different toolbar icons and their groups was not available. Please include this as I see it is available when modifying existing toolbars.
Just to add to this issue, I see from the help file that this can be done by choosing Tools->Customize->Toolbars dialog->Modify dropdown button->Begin a Group. However, I feel that it will be easier for users to have the option to automatically insert a separator, perhaps as a button.
Hi, where exactly do you want the option to insert a seperator to be? The current place is very near to where you do the modifying work, so...
This functions as designed. Changing to enhancement, P4, and setting to UI component, as this sounds like an interface issue. Regards, Andrew
Thank you to both of you. I think a user would prefer to see the "Insert Separator" button below the Modify dropdown button. However, I also noticed that something from OOo 1.1.5 is now missing. Previously, in OOo 1.1.5, according to the help file: "To insert or delete a dash (separator) between two toolbar buttons, hold down Alt and drag one of the buttons slightly to the left or to the right." In OOo 2.0.1, this ability is no longer present. Would it be possible to reinstate this function please? Thanks
Hi, thanks for clarification; I've updated the summary. I'll file a new issue for your second request, because this functionality is no longer present in the new toolbar modification dialogue.

I'm not surprised that function was removed- it sounds very unintuitive. I think the best solution is to simply include a 'Seperator' button as suggested. Regards, Andrew

Created attachment 83464 [details] Patch to add separator button on the customization dialog This patch adds "Separator" button to insert separator line on the Menus and Toolbars tabpages. This patch does not remove existing "Begin a Group" entry from "Modify" button. But it could be dropped if this patch would be applied.
