I primarily use English (USA, Canadian, British), but I read, edit and write
regularly in French, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian. I cannot seem to get the
various dictionaries, etc. loaded and working. I've printed out the
instructions; but when I start out to install another language, then I lose
everything except English that I already have, and get a number of other
language dictionaries for which I have no need at all.

Unless I can work this problem out, which to some extent I had in 1.x version, I
will find everything quite difficult.

Hi, did you try File->Wizards->Install new dictionaries... ?

If the problem persists, can you give a step-by-step description of what 
you're doing and list where you got your information from? thanks!

Could you please provide some feedback on lars' comment. Has your problem been
fixed by a more recent OOo release (2.0.1)?
