crash when open multiple word documents simultaneously

open more than one ms-word document with the open-dialogue at the same time (by selecting two docs in the open dialogue) crashes 2.0rc1. the first document opens correct. only when the next document starts to open the program crashes. after the crash recovery only tries to restore the first of the documents. occurs only with documents created with ms-word. no problems with word-documents exported from ooo.
Hi, I cannot reproduce it with rc1 / debian sarge. Which MS Word Version did you use for creating the word documents? Please attach 2 example files to the issue. Thanks! Jacqueline

the crash mentioned above only occurs when an existing odt-dokument was opened first. i attach two of the documents i used to reproduce the crash. i do not know which ms-word version they are from.
Thanks, phillno. Now I can reproduce the crash. On my system (rc1, debian sarge) OOo crashes very often (not every time), if I try to open 3 or more doc-files on this way. In my case there is no crash with only 2 files, no need to have an odt-document opened. The crash-reporter comes up (I sent the report and posted this issue-number as comment). The crash doesn't seem to be caused by this special documents, I can confirm it with other word-documents too. It's not reproducible on windows xp.
OOo2rc1 on win2k, sp4 does not open the 2 or 3 selected ms-word docs when a blank new dokument is open in writer; it then only opens the last of the selected files - nothing more (neither stops nor crashes). However, it does open all the selected docs on two other occasions: either the writer session is active with no document opened at all or the writer session is active with any other than a new, blank document opend.

I duplicated this behavior in Win ME, with 2.0rc2. Program crashed when opening multiple *.doc files from a file open dialog. All files appeared to open, then crash report and recovery dialog.
MRU->FLR: could ypou please have a look, if this is the same problem which you mentioned last week? I was only able to reproduce the problem on Linux.
This is the same problem as we have when two word documents are loaded at the same time because one of them is embedded in the other. Here the simultaneous loading is caused by the progress bar that allows for dispatching of queued messages. So this bug should not appear anymore in OOo2.0.1. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 45333 ***
