On Windows NT4 Server / service pack 6a installed;
Sun Java 2 [jdk1.3] installed;
Installation of OO proceeds normally.
On attempting to start OO after installlation the initial OO logo is displayed, 
but then the system freezes, and only reset and reboot retsores function.

[OO == OpenOffice!]

Hi Alan,
Let me guess: You hava a matrox graphic device? If yes, reduce the
hardware acceleration at the graphic properties one step (known
problem of the matrox driver). It might help to update the driver to
the newest version.

Does this problem still exist for OO 1.0.1?

Was it your video drivers that was causing the problem?

I think we should close that issue, if someone still sees the problem,
