Description sgautier.ooo 2002-06-03 18:47:05 UTC
Hi,
Under Tools/Autocorrect/Autoformat, Options tab, replaced 1st by 1^st has not been translated in french, so if you write it in french :1er,
nothing changes, 'er' isn't write as exponent, but if you write 1st, it's all right. It's also described as 1st in the help file.
Best Regards - Sophie

Hi Sophie!
The translation went faster than the core implementation. ;-)
We need time to know if we want to and to check the effort needed to
I10nize this. The fact that only English ordinal numbers are
considered is because at the time this feature has been implemented,
one thought it would be an anglo-saxon speciality (this doesn't exist
in German).

ES->FT: you have already a task for this (trk42777)

close if applicable. Thx,
Comment 4 eric.savary 2003-01-24 15:59:47 UTC
ES->Sophie: This issue does not only affect french but possibly other
languages like Spanish or Italian.
This is why we will implement this all at the time (and correct the UI
for all concerned languages).
I forgot to tell you that this issue already existed (since 1997!) in
our internal tracking system and is now targetted to 00o 2.0.

That's why I propose to keep this task open in my intray and to update
its state when the other task will be fixed.

Yes, autocorrection should be language dependant.

Comment 13 eric.savary 2004-10-23 21:28:26 UTC
Due to shorten resources, it won't make its way into OOo 2.0 :(

towards Closing it. If you feel this is incorrect, please re-open the issue and
add any comments.

As per previous posting: Verified -> Closed.
