Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55156
copy and paste of animated objects forgets the animation effects
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:44:09 UTC
While in OO1.1.3 the copy and paste of an object that had an animation effect assigned would preserve it on the pasted copy, this is not so anymore in oo1.9.130. This is quite often very annoying: when you capy and paste a buch of animated objects from one file to another, in the destination file you have to completely rebuild the whole set of animations from scratch if you wanted to mantain them. Of course there may be instances when you do not want to carry on the animations with the objects you paste; the best thing would be a "pasted special" option giving the user the choice. However it must be noted that deleting all animations effects from a bunch of objects is a very easy and quick operation, while rebuilding them may be a much more time-consuming effort.
Reassigned.

I can reproduce the bug. Please have a look.

ALG: Probably has to do with the fact that the animation is saved and hold at the page, not the object. I am also not sure if it is wanted to copy this info, both is possible. If it once worked, it may also simply be broken. Adding awf to cc, he may know more.
confirmed with AOO410m14(Build:9760) - Rev. 1582709 Rev.1582709 Win 7 pasted chart in same slide has no animation TestLink test 617
