Completed a new installation of OpenOffice.org-1.00 on a Redhat Linux 7.3
workstation. No Java. Installation was trouble free, but all the applications,
except setup, gives the following message when started from a terminal
command line:

I18N: X Window System doesn't support locale "en_ZA"

The OpenOffice.org startup screen appears and waits for around 30 seconds,
after which the application dies with the following message on the command
line:

Aborted

No core dump appears to be created.

Machine setup is Intel Pentium 4 at 1.5Ghz. 128Mb ram,  256Kb cache, 
512Mb Swap.
Redhat 7.3, Kernel 2.4.18-3

Joost->Alex: maybe you're using Gnome and maybe you did not checkout
to disable the Gnome session manager. I'm not sure if it is related to
your system but please check:

export SESSION_MANAGER=0
/opt/openoffice.org/program/soffice

and report if the application starts
