Description jjc 2005-09-25 14:56:43 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

- Start Writer
- Enable CTL support
- Turn on Form controls toolbar
- Insert a text box
- Bring up the form control properties for the text box
- Click on the font property (for the CTL font, the font tab shows a font name
dropdown, together with disabled typeface and font size dropdowns)
- Specify a CTL font name
- Click OK (the font property is still empty!)
- Click on the font property again (the CTL font name is empty)

There's a similar problem with other form controls.

Yes, you are right. The UI suggests a feature which isn't there. Formcontrols
just do not support different fonts for different script types.
So before fixing the dialog it would be nice to clarify if and when we want to
have such a feature, which definitely would take a while to implement. For now I
will set it to target OOLater.

ssa->ft: any opinion ?

We need the feature, the ability to specify different Western and CTL fonts,
like in Writer/Calc/Impress text. In those programs, we sometime match different
Western and CTL fonts. We can do so in the text, why can't we do so in the form
control. What if we want to match the look of the form control and the text?
It'd be even nicer if we can use styles but that another issue.

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
