Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 542
soffice (619) aborts
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:34 UTC
I have performed a complete local install, the installation died during the registering bit. I then read on the installation.openoffice.org site about others having a similar problem, decided to do a setup -net which completed successfully, the setup.log file ended with Errors = 0. Next, I ran the user install, took the default option (to install just the 0.8 megs of stuff), this completed successfully (with the Errors = 0 and a success message). However, when I try to run /home/styler/openoffice60/soffice it aborts. I have repeated the last part of the procedure a couple of times and it still does the same thing. Redhat 6.2 kernel 2.2.16 glibc 2.1.3 192MB memory lots of disk space running on a NFS share to a Solaris 7 server ummm...I think that's it. Thanks, Steve
Hi Steve, It's a known issue that ./soffice in a -net installation causes an abort. We have an inhouse bug for it (#83611 for 'insider').
Any progress?

This one should IMHO be closed so that it can R.I.P. If you disagree, feel free to reopen this one. Virtually nobody uses build 619 anymore.
