Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 53972
CSV save doesn't export trailing zeros
Last modified: 2005-08-31 02:22:54 UTC
A number like 1.00 is exported as 1 in CSV file, whereas it was entered and displayed as 1.00 in spreadsheet (decimal places=2). MS-Excel does export 1.00 in 1.00. Trailing zeros are important in CSV files to find out the number type (integer or float), or precision of the result (1.000 is more precise than 1).
