Description eduardojrobledo 2005-08-25 20:13:38 UTC
When saved, a file with a digram "loses" the following formats on some of the
text objects:
1. background color
2. line type

I have tried the same file in two diferent computers, loosing different parts
of the format.

I can supply an example file, but don´t find where to attach it.

Could you please attach a screenshot so I can se how it should look like? If I
understand you right the attached file has already lost some formats. Thanks in
advance.

Rigth, the file i sent already has lost some of its characteristics.

Try this:
1. Pick one of the plain text objects on the chart (the ones without
background color)
2. Change the linetype from "invisible" to "continuous"
3. Change the background color to any solid color
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for the remaining plan text objects
5. Save the file
6. Close the file
7. Reopen the file

Voila, some of the text objects didn't retain their format.

Sorry, still not reproducible. Can you attach a detailed step by step
description of your actions to change the attributes? Thanks again.
Comment 5 eduardojrobledo 2005-08-31 13:50:34 UTC
This is wath i have found:
1. Select the left most text of the diagram by left clicking on it
2. From the lines and filling toolbar choose "color" and apply any color
3. From the same toolbar choose "line style" continuous
4. Save the file
5. Close the file
6. Reopen the file
The reopened file keeps the format

Now try this:
1. Select the left most text of the diagram by left clicking on it
2. From the main tool bar choose the "format brush", pick the format from the
left most text (the one you apply formats to in the previos example) and apply
it to the next unformated text
4. Save the file
5. Close the file
6. Reopen the file
The reopened file do not keep the format applied with the brush, but does keep
the one applied with the line and fill toolbar, or by that matter by changing
linetypes and filling colors in the propierties window.

Thanks for the explicit explanation, that helped.
Reproducible.

This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated
within the last year. Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo -
the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable
version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html
or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing):

Checked with both OOo 2.4 and 3.0 beta and there is no problem. I think the
issue should be marked as solved.
