Description naoyuki 2005-08-22 07:43:12 UTC
The tooltip (baloon help) for 'OpenOffice.org Base' in Start ->
OpenOffice.orgXXX menu is STR_FI_TOOLTIP in Japanese windows installation. The
text should be 'Manage databases, create queries and reports to track and manage
your information by using Base.(in Japanese)'
I found four keyIDs for this message in DB (337830, 337846, 370350, 373841)
337830, 337946 and 373841 have correct Japanese translation, but I could not
open 370350 keyID edit window with WebLingTool.
I do not know which part has problem regrading this, so please investigate.
Solaris JDS ja menu has correct tooltip for this, and Windows English menu has
also correct tooltip.

Hi Naoyuki,

I am able to open the edit strinbg window in ling tool for key id 370350 fine.
The string is translated as:
Base を使用し、情報の追跡と管理を行うデータベースの作成、クエリーやレポートの作
成などを行います。

Is this ok?
or do changes need to be made?
Please try ling tool again. If it still does not work for you please let me know
what needs to be changed and i will get it done.

Thanks,
Ian

Hi Ian,
Yes, I can open 370350 now, and the translation is fine.
Then we should assign this to someone who knows why STR_FI_TOOLTIP_BASE is shown
instead of this translation. It must be English source message if m124 did not
import latest message.

Thanks,
Naoyuki

Hi tbo,

I think this is not a translation problem.
Can you please assign this issue to the appropriate developer?
Thanks,
Ian
