Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5284
Hanup while creating nonsense frame.
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
playing around with frames (inserting, deleting), after some time I get a hangup while inserting a new frame with nonsense name and nonsense content (e.g. 'i45 jlj').
Gunter, thanks for posting this issue. Does this issue still exist in OOo 1.0.1? If it does, please post step by step instructions on how we can reproduce this issue. Thank you for using and supporting OOo.
I believe I may have found a related bug: I'm running Writer in OO 1.0.1, on Windows 2000 (Build 2195, SP2). Here's how to reproduce: Create a simple document (just a few lines of text). Add a frame to the left of the first line. Now Select the frame so that the green handles appear. Now click the Insert/Frame menu command. Boom! ("An unrecoverable error has occurred") BUT! Writer offers to restore the document. When I click yes, I am back where I was (probably the last save-point). (I find Word crashes more often than Writer).
rsearjeant, thank you for your comments. If possible, could you check to see if this problem still exists in developer build 643. Unable to duplicate on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 643.
Running OOo 1.0.1, on Windows 2000 (Build 2195, SP2), I can't reproduice this either. Please unistall completly OOo and reinstall. If this still occures, list all programs you have running in the background.
Despite some reminders there is still no target milestone asigned. From the fact that reporter and owner are identical we conclude information is missing that doesn't allow working on this issue. That's why we've decided to close such issues. This is done without invidually taking care of each issue. If you feel this decision has been wrong regarding this specific issue, please re-open it.
