Description Unknown 2002-05-22 10:49:52 UTC
Several problems when importing equations (annoying for chemistry formulae) :
  A - (minus) sign followed by nothing is not undestood properly in the linux
version : the {} after - is forgotten (it works in the windows version).
  The double arrow is not imported well either (becomes unknown character in
linux, << in windows)

For example, the equation HQui <--> Qui- + H+ becomes:
size 12{ ital "HQui"« ital "Qui" rSup { size 8{-{}} } +H rSup { size 8{+{}} } } {}
  in windows, but
size 12{ ital "HQui" ? ital "Qui" rSup { size 8{- } } +H rSup { size 8{+{}} } } {}
  in linux.

Note, I have the fonts Code2000 (Utf-8 ttf) installed in both windows and Linux
(before I installed the in linux the + sign didn't show in the equations)

Thanx!

cmc->phi: Could you attach your sample problem document to this issue,
(create new attachment link on this page) so that I can work from the
exact testcase.

-{} will work in SRX643l. I see no problem with a <-> under X, would
be likely a font issue if reproducable.
Comment 5 caolanm 2002-07-19 12:31:24 UTC
reopen to reassign
Comment 6 caolanm 2002-07-19 12:32:28 UTC
"-" should work in SRX643l, I cannot reproduce the <-> problem on
linux, perhaps a font availability issue of somekind.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2002-07-22 16:11:40 UTC
Looks good in 643L. Fix will be available with next OpenOffice 643 build.
Comment 8 michael.ruess 2002-11-29 10:53:00 UTC
fixed in open'Office 643c.
