Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5064
Saving docs in OO.org format yields error
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
I open a two-page .sdw document saved from StarOffice 5.2. I attempt to save it into another directory, still as an .sdw, and all is well. I try to save it again as an OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document and I get an error box: "An unrecoverable error has occurred. All modified files have been samed and can probably be recovered at program restart." When I click "OK" on the error box, OO crashes.
Jeff, thanks for the issue. Could you please attach the file which causes the crash to this issue? There is a "create new attachment" link inside your issue 5064. Unable to duplicate issue on Solaris 8, OO 1.0, CDE with latest Solaris and J2SE patches. 1. In OO 1.0, created a text document and saved in StarOffice 5.0 format. 2. Opened up the StarOffice 5.0 format document. 3. Save using the OO 1.0 Writer format.
Closing issue for now. Jeff if the problem still exists in the latest version of OOo feel free to post a new issue.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
