When I try to open a particular Microsoft Excel spreadshet, I receive an
'Unrecoverable error has occurred' message.

I then click OK and receifve "this program has performed an illegal
operastion..." error.

Clicking on details results in :

I have also experienced this issue using OO 1.0.0 on windows 98 PC 
(AMD k6-2, MVP3 M/B). On opening an Excel spreadsheet OO crashes with 
an "unrecoverable error has occurred - all modified files have been 
saved and can probably be recoverred on program restart"

It's in HLINK (hyperlink) import. A hyperlink in cell IV65536.
Another place where 
the filter tries to access cells beyond row 32000...
Take it.
