Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49798
Incorrectly sized element in formula imported from MathType
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:54:45 UTC
I use OOo 1.9.m104 to import and convert MS Word 97 documents with formulae. With MS Word 97, in double sum (sigma) lower limits, I wrote some letters (A) with a special font and size bigger than the default lower limit size. In OOo converted formula, the 'A' looses this size attribute in the 1st sum's lower limit, but keeps it in the second sum's lower limit. Both 'A' loose their font attribute. FrenchScript (handwritten like) font is not installed in my Linux system, but OOo could choose another (if possible handwritten-like) font instead.
Created attachment 26507 [details] Incorrect size of letter 'A' in the 1st sum's lower limit
Created attachment 26508 [details] Double & single sums: 'A' incorrectly sized except in lower limit of the 2nd sum of the double sum.
This bug is still in OOo 1.9.113.
I see the error in OOo1.9.113 on WinXP too. How was this formula build in Word97? If I build such a formula in Word97, the font informations are always removed when imported to OOo.
Due to resource limitation this will be fixed for successor of OO 2.0.
