Description jsc 2005-05-12 07:48:04 UTC
I use a numbering with numbers, insert a sub level with bullets, go one level
back and expect the next number. But i got first bullets and when i change agian
to numbers i got a new numbering started with 1 again. See attached bug doc

You have generated three lists instead of one. This is well possible, if you use
the buttons, which generate anonymous lists. It is yet not easily possible to
continue such an anonymous list.
There a two ways to correct your list:
(1) Mark all listitems together and assign a liststyle. In the properties of
that style in the tab "options" you can choose "numbers" for the first level and
"bullets" for the second level.
(2) Select all paragraphs which shall belong to one list, hold down ctrl-key if
it is not continuous. Then use numbering-button twice. See also online-help
search item "Comining Numbered List".

you are right and thanks for this info i wasn't aware of this function. But
nevertheless it is a bug and at least the default behaviour is wrong. You are an
expert and know these tricks/functions but the normal default user doesn't and
can probably not work with styles. We should address the major group of dummy
users with a good default.

Considering the effort, the priority, the risk and our resource planning I've to
retarget this issue to OOo Later.
