Description bryancole 2005-05-05 17:48:31 UTC
Embedded movies (.mpg) are not displayed or played in any of the applications.
This has been broken for the last few builds (it used to work OK around the
1.9.70 builds).

Note, JMF and the stand-along media player window works OK. It's only when I try
to embed the movies in a document that things break. At best the movie frame is
blank. At worst, the program locks up and the process must be killed.

I get the same problem with either Java-1.5.0_01 or 1.4.2_07. I'm using
JMF-2.1.1e. I'm currently using the OOo-1.9.100 build.

Sorry, since this is a framework issue ("not displayed or played in any of the
applications") this is not mine. I am testing this onyl for impress/draw.
Comment 4 wolframgarten 2005-05-17 13:53:13 UTC
Priority changed.
Comment 5 thorsten.martens 2005-07-01 13:28:10 UTC
TM->WG: Since the framework-project doesnt have an own application nor a
document type where such movies can be run, this is an application-problem and
not a framework issue. If this occurs in other applications too, please send
this issue to the next apps after this has been investigated/fixed for Impress/Draw.

Reassigned.
Comment 8 wolframgarten 2005-07-14 09:28:05 UTC
Any idea what this could be?
Comment 9 wolframgarten 2005-07-14 10:26:30 UTC
Sorry, wrong bug. Taking it back.
Comment 10 wolframgarten 2006-03-07 10:06:31 UTC
Is this still reproducible for your with a current build? For compatibility of
jmf with certain video formats please have a look at
http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/2.1.1/formats.html .
