It seems, that this defect is concerning the mailinglists for the general
project too, for example users and discuss; both high-traffic. Last mail short
before 02.00 PM.

In my opinion the german mailing lists are not usable presently yet.
I have got back during the last hours several emails which could not be
transmitted.
Please, this could be checked over again.

Thanks,
Jörg

I have to agree wrt other lists. Messages are being very slowly delivered, however. I imagine there is a
huge queue of undelivered mail, and that over the next couple of days things will clear out.

Support: what can be done to expedite this?
Comment 12 bernhard 2005-05-07 20:54:39 UTC
Hello,

only the lists you can post to seem to be down.

On issues@de.openoffice.org and cvs@de.openoffice.org I got some mails today,
the other lists and the archive of those two are down since yesterday 22:00
+0200
Even the archives of the international lists users@OOo, dev@OOo and discuss@OOo
(the ony ones I searched by now) are down since yesterday 18:40 +0100 (users),
15:22 -0400 (dev) and 14:48 +0100 (discuss).

So it still seems to be a mayor problem!

Yours

Bernhard

It just say the same as grsingleton pointed yersterday. The only messages I get

in cvs FR site.
Kind regards - Sophie

lists that are particularly exposed to viruses and spam are currently unusable; lists that are not, are
usable. Issuezilla, thus, is usuable, as are some of the other lists.

Not much to do here except wait for the process to complete.

I further updated the p1 on collabnet's site and called the engineers directly to see if they can further
assist. Keep in mind that the current problems stem from, I believe, the new virus out there: all public
sites are affected, and the more public the more they are affected. Nevertheless, we can and should be
able to help resolve this problem.

Sorry for the inconveniences,
Louis
Comment 16 lsuarezpotts 2005-05-08 02:38:23 UTC
CollabNet ops reported that there is nothing to do besides restarting brightmail's antivirus engine (which
is OOo's virus/spam filter) every 30 minutes or so to speed things up, but given the volume of spam and
virus mail that has only a limited effect. In sum: not much to do but be patient.
Comment 17 lsuarezpotts 2005-05-08 05:10:17 UTC
of course, CN ops is also doing everything else it can do to alleviate the situation; brightmail is just one
thing.

thank You for working on this problem and your information. First mails are
receiving my mailbox.

Please, have a look at archieving the mailinglists.

Since May 6 the lists seem to be not archived. I think, that is a aftereffect
from crashdown the days before. Do you work on it?

Is it necessary to open a new issue on this topic?
