Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48423
App name and "title" metadata should not be used for window title on Mac OS X
Last modified: 2013-02-07 21:58:40 UTC
On Mac OS X, the application/product name and "title" metadata should not be used for the title of the document window. Instead, only the filename should appear as the window title. See Apple Human Interface Guidelines: Window Appearance <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExperience/Conceptual/OSXHIGuidelines/XHIGWindows/chapter_8_section_3.html#TPXREF50> and The Mac OS X File System: Display Names <http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPFileSystem/Concepts/DisplayNames.html> for the definition of display names (the filename as it appears in the Finder, i.e. with or without filename extension, depending on user's display perference).

:ericb Yes the Apple HIG states that the only thing that should be in the top label should be the document name. However, X11 does not allow this. Will this be in the native version? James McKenzie
Also, this will break automated testing in the f_windowfuncs automated test script. I suggest reworking these tests so that windows titles are not tested for the Mac builds. James McKenzie
reassigning issue to macport
Can this be related to this kind of issues: #43525 #47802, #50362
this would be a feature request for framework
